What the analysis tells you
Paste the URL of a public Moxfield or Archidekt deck — members can also pick one of their own — and Lotus Vault reads the list and returns one report. Tick “Compare with a second deck” to put two lists side by side.
- Bracket estimate
- Where the deck sits on Wizards of the Coast's Commander brackets, from 1 to 5. The official limits are applied as written — Game Changers (none in brackets 1–2, at most three in bracket 3), mass land destruction, early two-card combos — with two house caps on tutors and extra turns. The official rules do not separate bracket 2 from bracket 3, so the estimate also reads five tuning signals: a low curve, dense interaction, heavy card draw, high salt and fast mana. It takes three of the five to reach bracket 3.
- Power level
- A score out of 10 built from eight criteria. Combos, interaction and card draw weigh the most, then the mana curve, fast mana, tutors and Game Changers; salt barely counts. A deck with no combo and no Game Changer tops out at 7.
- Salt
- EDHREC's salt score, voted by players, measures how much people dislike facing a card. The report adds it up over the deck, gives the average per card and names the saltiest cards.
- Combos
- The list is checked against Commander Spellbook, the community's combo database, and every combo it contains is listed with its pieces. When Commander Spellbook cannot be reached, a shorter built-in list of well-known combos is used, and the report says which source it used.
- Consistency
- The exact odds of a keepable opening hand (two to five lands), of mana screw and flood, and of hitting your land drops on turns 2, 3 and 4 — plus a check that each colour has enough sources for the mana symbols it has to pay.
Only the opening-hand odds are an exact calculation; the bracket and the power level rest on thresholds explained in detail in How Lotus Vault works. For more on how each bracket is defined, read the Commander brackets guide. Want to see a Moxfield list play? Goldfish it in the solo playtester.
